Taken in Wadi Shawka (Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates) and specifically in Wadi Buraq (Valley of Buraq), some of the best UAE landscapes can be found there. It is also a relatively dark location, but lights from nearby villages and cities (eg Hatta) are adding pollution to the night skies especially at the Horizon. Although such light pollution is no.1 enemy for Astrophotographers , but it sometimes add a value to the photo.
A lonely mountain in a vast flat area and one single small tree. A beautiful mysterious location in the Western Desert of Egypt, beautiful dark skies. There is a myth around this place that a military western plan from the World war II crashed at that location and the pilot survived for few days , taking one of this mountain corners as a shelter. He carved his name on the rocks and died out of hunger and thirst.I saw the writings on the wall and I saw the bones , and I came to know that the locals of a near by village discovered the crash site and buried the pilot and sold out the plan debris as scrap long time ago !!!!
